He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gabbey Sr. and Ruth Pepe (Hirt); and his siblings, Kenneth Gabbey, Roger Gabbey, Irene Ortega and Barbara Neilon.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Gabbey (Burke); his children, Elaine Delvaux (Ron), Scott Gabbey (Betanya) and Lori Beckett (Jon); his grandchildren, Jon Delvaux, Felipe Duran, Emma Beckett and Ava Beckett; and his sisters, Roberta Catterton (Martin) and Sandra Olmstead (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
