He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Joshua and Hazel Wimmer Keene; and his wife Diane Hamilton Keene. He is survived by: his children, Barry Keen (Kim) of Sabastian, FL, Cynthia Keen of Emerald Isle, Kimberly Keen Emerson (Robert) of Orlando, FL and Jamie Keen Lisi (John) of Palm Harbor, FL; his grandchildren, Craig, Sarah, Julia, Joy and Joshua; and his great grandchild Ivy. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in James' honor to the organization of the donor's choice.
