He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Jr. Maher and Eula Maher; and his former wife Mary Nell. He is survived by: his children, Gary Maher (BJ) of McDavid, FL, Tommy Maher (Melissa) of Cantonment, FL, Chris Maher (Joni) of Pensacola, FL, Kenny Maher (Marsha) of Byrneville, FL, Janine Snyder (Bill) of Safety Harbor, FL and Melissa Scott (Nathan) of Jay, FL; his sister Linda Irby (Jim) of Pace, FL; his grandchildren, Megan, Kevin, Aiden, Sunny, Scott, Jennifer, Jasmine, Taylor, Tyler, Shauna, Keaton, Leigha and Myles; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Emberly, Karson, Cole, Alivia, Mary, Lakyn, Hazel and Bryson. He is also survived by numerous cousins, other family members and many friends.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Pensacola, Florida.
