He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Hodges and Ruth Hodges; his son Mark Hodges; and his brothers, James Hodges, William Hodges and Donniewood Hodges.
He is survived by: his wife Vonnie Hodges of McAlpin, FL; his children, Cheryl Burrell of McAlpin, FL, Theresa Rickrode (John) of Bradenton, FL and Robert "Kevin" Hodges of McAlpin, FL; and his sisters, Wanda Graddy and Patricia Lynch. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daniels Funeral Homes (1126 Ohio Ave N, Live Oak, FL 32064). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church (14364 140th St, Live Oak, FL 32060).
