He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Benjamin and Pauline Hillhouse. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hillhouse; his children, Laura Herring, Carrie Hillhouse and Brian Hillhouse (Tiffany); his stepsons, Troy Markham (Lindsay) and Randall Markham (Jen); his siblings, Peggy Stokes (Robert), Betty Bedenbaugh, Tony Hillhouse (Alisha), Clifford Hillhouse (Darlene) and Eric Hillhouse (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Dustin, Dalton, Sheldon, Cain, Flint, Skyler, Parker, Reyhan, Bailey, Billy, Blayne, Marina, Ethan and Haidyn.
