It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Railey Efurd Jr. (Marianna, Florida), born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Railey Efurd, Sr. and Virginia Pless Efurd; his son Samuel Railey Efurd, III; and his in-laws, Bill and Reba Henley.
He is survived by: his wife Marthe Henley Efurd; his pet Manny; his son James Efurd (Celina Delgado); his sister Jeannie Fussell (Jim); his nephew Walter Henley; his granddaughter Ance of Latvia; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chipola, Barbara and Yochee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar James and Sikes Funeral Home - Maddox Chapel (4278 Lafayette St, Marianna, FL 32446).
