He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucious Barnes and Virginia Barnes; and his siblings, Brenda Jeter and Anthony "Tony" Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Richard Justin Barnes (Heather) and Carly Barnes Montuani (Gabriel); his grandchildren, Braiden and Delanie; his brother Raymond Barnes; and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Arnold (Dennis) and Debbe Peck (Steve). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rick's honor be made to the Apalachicola Riverkeeper or Donald J. Trump for President 2024.
