He is survived by: his son Ronald D. Mathis (Deborah) of Marianna; his granddaughters, Maggie Cox (Jeremy) of Birmingham, AL and Sarah Mathis (Lucas Mayo) of Marianna; his brother Daryl; his siblings-in-law, Sallie Mathis of Marianna and Curtis Hyers of Jacksonville; his sisters, Merie Vaughn, Faye Crews (Sam) of Jacksonville and Patricia; his brother-in-law John King of Bascom; and his great grandchild Avery Cox of Birmingham. He is also survived by one niece and five nephews.
