She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymon, Sr. Godwin and Eva Russ Godwin; her husband Tom Johnson, Sr.; her daughter Sara Johnson Sutton; and her grandchildren, Gregory Sutton and Nebbi Nathan.
She is survived by: her children, Jerri McGhee of Tallahassee, Ralph "Smokey" Johnson of Marianna, Tom Johnson (Luverne) of Marianna and Beluah Johnson of Marianna; and her sister Rebecca Godwin Massenburg (Simon) of Marianna. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
