It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Haywood Lee Thomas of Marianna, Florida, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardie M. Thomas and James Monroe Barkley; his daughter Shasma Y. Thomas Baptiste; and his sisters, Eulice J. Bryant (Elmore) and Daisy Green (Charles).
He is survived by: his wife Callie Mary Long Thomas; his sons, Haywood Thomas, Jr. (Michon) and James Thomas (Kimonetia); his grandchildren, Damien, Dadrianna, Kennedi, Justin, Courtney, Michael, Christian and James; his great grandchildren, Dexter, Christian and Melania; his sisters-in-law, Lutissue Pyles, Juanita Thomas and Naomi Clemmons; and his goddaughters, Latesha Simms and Rotaya Cobb. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
