With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amos Hayes Morris Sr. (Marianna, Florida), who passed away on December 16, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Morris and Lessie Mae Pitts Morris; his former wife Mary Aline Tatum; his wife Aline Morris; his grandparents, Miles G. Morris and Anna Liza "Cuba" Kent Morris; and his siblings, Doris Donnel, Raymond Morris, Howard Morris, Beamon Purvis and Edward Morris.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita C. Montgomery Amos Hayes (Howell) and Rebecca L Morris-Haid (George); his grandchildren, Mitchell Toole (Janice), Ryan Lindsey, Jessica Aline Haid and Robert Amos Haid (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Dylan Toole, Andrew Toole, Paisley Lindsey and Blaklyn Lindsey; his sisters, Louise Howe and Leola Brannon (Charles); and his siblings-in-law, Jodie Tatum (Sarah) and Kathryn Tatum. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
