He was predeceased by: his parent Irish; and his brothers, Eugene, Dennis and Vincent. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Coakley); his children, Kimberly and Peter (Susan); his grandchildren, Brendan, Paige Martin and Claire Zywicki; and his sisters, Carol Trepcos (Charlie) and Mary Ellen Cleary (Tim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins, and friends.
Peter loved his Irish heritage, the New York Times , libraries, attending the theater and movies, taking long walks while listening to books on tape, and ignoring the "suggested donation" amounts at museums (which "should be free").
