He was predeceased by: his parents, James Laughton and Jessie Mae Barnett (Wilder). He is survived by: his children, Melinda C. Blum of Gainesville, FL, James Jeff Barnett of LaBelle and Ovid Jr. of Punta Gorda; and his sister Maxine Horne of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
