He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James McKenna and Florence McKenna (Hunter); and his daughter Patty Renea. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl McKenna; his daughters, Lisa O'Malley (Bob O'Malley) of Altamonte Springs, FL and Robyn McKenna (Rajesh Paryani) of Baltimore, MD.; his sister Margaret Cardinal of Potsdam, NY; and his grandchildren, Shea, Meagan and Colin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
