He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Glen Russell Pierson Jr. and Rita Lee Bryant. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Pierson Trednick, Anne Elizabeth Pierson and Lillian Pierson Ivanov (Vitaly); his grandchildren, Beau, Clara Trednick, Ryan, Patrick Lanser, Ariana and Stasik Ivanov; his aunt Margie Bryant Gerber; and his sisters, Pam Hardy (Marvin III), Denise Trumbo and Ritsy Carpenter (Darrell). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
