He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lidia Detres; his children, Yolanda Villot, Emilio A. Detres Jr., Nicanor Detres and Wilson Sanabria; his grandchildren, Nicolas, Amanda, Kassandra, Krystalise, Kaitlyn, Angel, Wilson, Luis, Ivan, Maria, Mariana, Angelita, Jesus, Nicanor Jr and Yesenia; and also Puerto Rico. He was also cherished by his 21 great grandchildren.
