She is survived by: her husband Frank Nicky Merritt; her daughters, Shannon Nelson (Bryon) of San Antonio, TX, Ingrid Brown (Delmar) of Houston, TX, Candida Akins (Devin) of Madison, FL and Laysha Gilbert of Valdosta, GA; her stepsons, Marcus Watson of Orlando, FL and Byron Merritt of Tallahassee, FL; her grandchildren, Jaylen, Jordan, Landon, Ian, Ivy, Agueleo, Kennedy, Kaylen, Mikayla, Veronica Merritt and NyShanti Adams; her siblings, Clara Carter of Winter Haven, FL, Fannie Avery of Orlando, FL and Ishmo Brown; and her aunt Eula Donaldson of Madison, FL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
