He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Powell and Mildred Powell; and his brothers, Bill and Jimmy. He is survived by: his children, Lynn Baker (Ken) of St. Augustine, FL and Brian Powell (Angela) of Matthews, NC; his brothers, John Powell (Mimi) of Cherryville, NC and Ben Powell (Sandy) of Stanton, VA; his grandchildren, Alaina West-Underwood, Jessica Bellamy (Matt), Ben Powell, Carolyn Larson (Rob) and Rachel Phillips (Allen); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Landon, Savannah, Addison, Caroline, Brody, Anson, Audrey and Jack.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, Florida.
