He was predeceased by: his nephew Cody Abbott. He is survived by: his parents, Dorothy Abbott of Madison, Florida. and Jimmy Lee Abbott; his wife Virginia Abbott (Ginny) of Valdosta; his son Corey Delmas Wallis (Angela) of Fayetteville, N. C.; his stepchildren, James Kirby Alford II (Heather) of Greenville and Kristina Marie Alford Walker of Valdosta; his brother Jimmy Dean Abbott (Lynn) of Tallahassee; his nephew Joshua Abbott (Tiffany); and his great-nieces, Olivia and Kodi of Tallahassee, Florida.. He is also survived by two aunts, many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Wayne wanted any gifts of love to be made to the Family Life Center Building Fund of Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia.
