He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Scott Hidy and Ethel Camelin Hidy; his daughter Lana Hidy Hewitt; and his sister Eileen Hidy. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Braswell Hidy; his children, Autumn Burnett (Craig), Amber Harris (Josh), Alan Hidy (Amelia) and Laran Rogers; his grandchildren, Forrest Hewitt, Tyler, Justin, Aiden Burnett, Caroline, Emma, Malachi Harris and Glenn Hidy; his brothers, James E. Hidy, Ronald Hidy (Doris), Gary Hidy (Norma), Wayne Hidy (Julia) and Phil Hidy (Ross); and his siblings-in-law, Paul Braswell (Kathleen), Steve Braswell, Jim Hunter, Jane Wells (Ken) and Opal Braswell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cherry Lake United Methodist Church Building Fund or Big Bend Hospice.
