He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph S. Cantey and Nellie McLaughlin Cantey; his wife Ann Blake Cantey; and his sisters, Annell Thompson, Mary Alice Chester and Evelyn Jacoway.
He is survived by: his children, Blake Cantey (Georgia) and Betsy Rykard (Steve); his grandchildren, Matt Thompson (Devin), Hank Thompson and Ashley Cantey; and his friend Judith Ettlinger. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
