He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Thomas and Ruby McCracken Thomas; and his siblings, Nell Holton, Glenda Dietrich and Gilbert Thomas.
He is survived by: his sisters, Kathryn Hale (Eddie), Lee, Rachel Penny, Tommie Bodenstein and Madison; his siblings-in-law, Sue Thomas, Hansel Holton and Perry Dietrich; his niece Jennifer Cox (Jeffery); and his great-nephews, Jeffery and Judd Cox.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund are appreciated, and may be sent, in memory of Lester, to Chris Thompson, , 1418 Longleaf Drive, Live Oak, FL 32064.
