He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Comfort and Barbara Elizabeth Shaw (Franzen); his wife Linda Danielle (Castille); his sisters, Laurie, Joanne and Mary Lou; and his brother-in-law Ivor Lewis.
He is survived by: his former wife Bonita Ann Van Brakel; his children, Christopher Shaw (Darice) of Bradenton, Lisa Matta (Dave) of Ft Myers, Julie Mentry (Robert) of Dunedin and Steven Shaw (Alicia Wente) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Cory, Hunter, Michael, Harley, Audrey, Isabella and Sadie; his great grandchild Aiden; and his brother Robert (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, his in-laws.
