He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Padgett and Ruby Padgett; his brother W. J. Padgett; and his wife Harriett Padgett. He is survived by: his children, James "Jamie" Padgett (Missy) of Jacksonville and Rebecca "Dean" Wright (Bud) of Maxville; his sisters, Marlene Godwin of Maxville and Annette Thomas of St. George; his grandchildren, Jay (Hayley), Jacob and C. J.; his great grandchildren, Kinslee and Keegan; and his close friend Cathy Bell of Maxville. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
