He was predeceased by: his brother Clayton Hayes; and his wife Patricia. He is survived by: his daughters, Shelli Smith and Amanda Hayes; his stepchildren, Lisa Sylvester, John Buchan and Rhonda Bishop; and his siblings, Alton Hayes and Sylvia Nobles. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
