He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Virginia Whitney Jr. (Jacobs). He is survived by: his wife Sonja Whitney (Council) of Bainbridge; his daughter Nikki Flowers (Abraham) of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Faith Whitney and Emory Flowers; and his cousin Jan Wathen. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
