It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Marian Wright of Macclenny, Florida, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joyce touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her husband Keith R. Wright; her parents, Charles D. Fitzsimmons and Lillie; her stepfather Philip Spivack; and her siblings, Robert, David Fitzsimmons and Alice Cunningham of Little Rock, AR.

She is survived by: her daughter Peggy; her son-in-law Pete Curtis of Macclenny, FL; her grandson Phillip Curtis; and her great grandchildren, Tyler and Talen Curtis. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Joyce and her sister Alice were my cousins and my first babysitters. I think they and my Grannie spent almost more time with me than my parents. Like most modern families, we remained very close until everyone started moving in different directions. Joyce and her siblings were some of my first friends spending endless hours with all of my family. My wife and I sincerely sympathize with Peggy, her family, and the remaining nieces, nephews, and friends who knew and loved Joyce.”
