He was predeceased by: his father Ressie Barton; his siblings, Alvin Barton, Arlie Barton, Charles Barton, John Barton, Phil Barton and Pauline Byrd; and his son Clifton "Mann" Barton, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife June Barton (Davis) of Macclenny; his daughters, Wendy Florio (Terry), Melissa Harris (Michael), Dana Driggers (Earl) and Brandy Starling (Gene); and his siblings, Hester Johnson (Joe) and Edward Barton. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren: twenty-eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
