With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Christine Gainey of Macclenny, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2024 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Long (Wilkerson) and Hugh S. Long; her daughter Lori Moody; and her siblings, Gene Long, Alta Hinkle and Freida Trotter.
She is survived by: her grandson Kyle Moody; her sons, Marion "Ernie" Gainey of Macclenny and Clay Gainey (Andrea) of Lake City; and her brother William "Buddy" Long (Marsha) of Lake Butler. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
With a selfless heart, she would make flower arrangements for grieving families with donated cuttings from the local florists.
