He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Churchill and Beatrice Churchill; his sister Zoe Ragsdale; and his son David Churchill. He is survived by: his wife Inge Churchill; his children, Ben Churchill (Amy) and Jennifer Green (Jeff); his grandchildren, Michael Wood, Jay, Justin Green and Madelyn Churchill; and also, Kayden and River.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Holy Nativity Episcopal Church or Bay County Salvation Army.
