He was predeceased by: his parents, John James Strength and Elizabeth Phillips Strength. He is survived by: his wife Betty Strength; his children, John David Strength (Becky), Danny Joe Strength (Candy) and Douglas Strength (Gail); and his grandchildren, Josh Strength (Michelle), Casey Strength (Sarah), Melissa Mayers (Andy), Lori Turner (Dustin Davis) and Derby Strength.
