He was predeceased by: his parents, Brady Brookins and Nellie Brookins; his siblings, Donnell and Ruby Nell Ayers Joh; his siblings-in-law, Norman Ayers, Ray Joh and Norma Brookins; his niece Pam Brookins; his nephew Terry Ayers; and his great-nephew Gregory Malone Brookins.
He is survived by: his son Kenneth Ray Brookins (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Clayton Brookins (Alicia) and Kristen Brookins Brown (Matt); his siblings-in-law, Gene and Gaile Bass; his nieces and nephews, Steve Ayers, Lori Ellis, Gary Brookins, Sabin Bass and Lainye Bailey; and also, Theresia Smith and Sheila Day.
