He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Funkhouser and Laura Lach Funkhouser (Lach); his brother Kenneth Funkhouser; and his grandson Wesley Burnham. He is survived by: his pet Gracie; his wife Deborah Carlson Funkhouser; his son Kristofer Funkhouser; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Funkhouser; his daughter Amy Funkhouser Strawser; his son-in-law David Strawser; his daughter Jill Funkhouser Burnham; his son-in-law Jeff Burnham; his grandchildren, Mia Strawser, Katelyn Funkhouser, Jacob Burnham, Haley Strawser, Claire Funkhouser, Noah Burnham and Chloe Funkhouser; and his sister Ann Dehgan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wesley Burnham Foundation or Moffitt Cancer Center in memory of Howard Funkhouser.
