It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Bishop of Longboat Key, Florida, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Jerry is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jerry's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra "Sandy" Bishop; and his parents, Paul Bishop and Lillian "Lil" Bishop. He is survived by: his daughter Robin Smith; his son-in-law Charlie Smith; and his grandsons, Craig Smith and Matthew Smith.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Resthaven (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Park (4400 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218).
