He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Johnson and Clara Johnson; his wife Clementine Jowan Johnson; his children, Peggy Sharon Johnson, Lawanda Loraine Johnson and Daryl Cornelius Johnson; his siblings, Leroy Bobby Johnson, Fred Johnson, Leon Johnson and Mildred Johnson; and his great grandchild Isiah Graham Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Vernon Johnson Jr., Felicia Colleen Flowers (Timothy), Jowan Veronica Johnson, Patrice Monzel Noland (Steven) and Fitzgerald Lamont Johnson; his grandchildren, Ronell Myers, Latoyia Hall, Jetaime Petty, Isiah Graham, Milanja Graham, Alexis Graham, Malachi Graham, Nehemiah Flowers, Cree Allen, Mya Johnson, Shante Noland, Brandon Noland, Sharde Noland, Daryl Johnson Jr., Lakisha Johnson, Destiny Johnson, Travion Ivy and Jamal Parker; his great grandchildren, Milayah, Ah'ziyah, Ah'Mani, Ah'yanni, Onye, Zayon, Zion, Ezani of Mahlon, AJ, Mesai, Zuriyah, Issac, Kannon, Zen, Emonnie, Ja'niyah, E'zarah and Desai; his siblings, Clara Jackson, Loraine Johnson and Tommy Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Johnson, Margaret Johnson, Veronica Johnson, Loretta Ward, Irene Thomas, Nancy Wilks and Robert Thomas. He is also survived by Thirty-six nieces and nephews, treasured cousins, and friends.
