He was predeceased by: his sisters, Rachel Parker and Carol Platt. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie J. Swartz; his children, Rhonda Swartz Furry (Jason) and Mike Swartz (Stacie); his siblings, Nancy Stark (Butch), Jan Rodriquez and James Swartz (Valerie); and his grandchildren, Brandon Furry, Braxton Furry, Hayden Swartz, Camden Swartz and Madison Swartz.
