He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson and Louise Lord (Mills); the mother of his children Janice Carter Lord; and his sisters, Nancy Louise Lord and Dr. Dorothy L. Lord.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Adrienne Lord Grant (Kevin) and Sidney Jackson Lord, Jr. (Michelle); his brother-in-law Leonard Hogle; his stepsons, Lamar Wheeler (Yvette), Virgil Wheeler and Jeffrey Wheeler; and his grandchildren, Reverend Carter Suzanne Grant, Jarrett Grant, Meredith Lord, Natalie Lord, Samuel Jackson Lord, Audrey Lord, Jacob Lord, Jonah Lord, Erryn Wheeler and Shannon Wheeler.
