In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Michael's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie G. Abney; his children, Crystal Abney of Orlando, FL, Austin Abney of Bridgewater, NJ and Matthew Strickland (Renee) of Jackson, GA; his sister Bonita Abney Harmon of Tallahassee, FL; his nephew Michael Milliken; and his grandchildren, Cody Marinos, Hope Eubanks (Austin) and Christopher Conner (Tiara). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clayland Baptist Church (11409 193rd Rd, Live Oak, FL 32060).
