He is survived by: his sons, Marcos Esteban "Steven" Otero and Jose Bilimeg Otero Gonzalez; his father Anastacio Otero Trejo; and his sisters, Minerva Otero Guerrero of Raliegh, NC and Lazara Otero Guerrero (Mexico). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
