With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Ruth Smith of Live Oak, Florida, born in Gainesville, Florida, who passed away on February 23, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Marvin Walker (Johnny) and Mildred Emily Thomas Walker. She is survived by: her sons, William David Smith (Mary Lou) of Cary and John Daniel Smith (Stephanie) of Lawrenceville, Georgia; her sister Mary Sue Walker Grinnan of Jacksonville, Florida; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Smith Hodges of Madison and Elizabeth Smith Davis (Shelton) of Perry, Florida.; her grandchildren, Jackie Jenkins (Adam) of Cornelius, Rebecca Hoke (Austin) of Asheville, Max Trierweiler of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Taylor Smith of Lawrenceville, Georgia.; and her great grandchildren, Abby Jenkins, Emily Jenkins, Maggie Jenkins, Hayley Hoke, Graham Hoke and Colin Hoke. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
