He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara; his sons, James C. Kirby, Jr. and Richard Kirby; and also Bobbie. He is survived by: his wife Lajena Kirby; and his children, David Kirby (Cathy), Jamie Kirby (Erin), Eric Philips and Kisha Law (Reuben). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Mr. Kirby's memory to Antioch Baptist Church.
