He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Denver and Leoma Pippin Young; his son Ronnie Young; and his siblings, Lucille Smith, Rosa Lee Johnson, Everlina Smith, Stella Mae Young, Robert Young and Charles Young.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Lee Young; his children, Shelia Floyd, Marlene Kerley (Larry), Sharon Nelms (Rocky) and Lamar Young (Sheila); and his sisters, Lorene Lawson and Geneva Pitts. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
