With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George P Townsend III of Live Oak, Florida, who passed away on August 3, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his sons, Phillip George Townsend, IV, Jason and Darrin Daniel Townsend of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Jan Smith of Wellborn, FL, Carol King of Atlanta, GA and Lesley Fry; and his half-brother Perry Burnett of Vero Beach, FL. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
