She was predeceased by: her son Phillip M. Abate; and her siblings, Agnes, Barbara and Nate. She is survived by: her husband Leonard M Abate; her children, Tess Christensen, Agnes Abate and Drew Abate (Teri Abate); her grandchildren, Kate Stucke, Ben Stucke, Jacqueline Gamlin, Braden Abate, Oliver Abate, Kati Christensen-Striegel and Kyli Christensen-Striegel; and her sister Lorette Rodgers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
