He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Lane, Sr.; his daughter Katrina Lane; and his brothers, Billy Lane, Jimmy Lane and Walter Gordon.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Lane; his mother Sandra Blair; and his siblings, Sanda Lynn Lane, Joyce Lane of High Springs, FL, Eligh Gordon of Orlando, FL, Art Lane of Bowman, GA, Melvin Lane, Jr. of High Springs, FL and Edward Lane of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
