He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Crosby Barnes; and his son Kenneth Richard Barnes. He is survived by: his sister Sara Beth Barnes McDonald of Middleburg; and his children, Dan Terry Barnes, Jr., Charles Roy Barnes, Earl Eugene Barnes of Live Oak, Kathryn Barnes Clinefelter of Guthrie and Mary Broccard Torres of Palm Harbor, Florida.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
