He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Howes and Rubye A. Chauncey Howes; and his brother Howard L. Howes. He is survived by: his children, Martha Sue Dale (Bob), Charles R. Howes, Jr. (Kathy) and John M. "Marty" Howes (James); his grandchildren, Tim Howes (Kim), Elizabeth Dale Clark (Carl), Patrick Jarvis (Holly), Kelley Howes Seeders, Matt Jarvis (Ashley), Walton Dale, Casie Zerbe (Brad), Alexandra Hill (Patrick) and Jon Howes (Fallon); and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Brandon Howes (Tim), Jackson, Owen Clark (Elizabeth), Kierceten Seeders (Kelley), Oscar, Olivia Dale (Walton), Avery, Abby, Elliott Zerbe (Casie), Grace Hunter, Frederick, Gavin, Vivian Hill (Alexandra) and Ellis Howes (Jon).
