It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Martinez of Live Oak, Florida, born in Havana, Florida, who passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Carlos may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carlos touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son Carl Edward Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Laurel Hancock Martinez; his daughter Emily Martinez Whitt; his son-in-law John Todd Whitt; his grandsons, Johnny Whitt Jr. and Jesse Whitt; and his great grandchildren, Jake Whitt, John Whitt III, James Whitt and Jase Whitt.
