He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Susie Nelson of Live Oak, FL; his children, Cara Lee Nelson of Live Oak, FL, Evelyn "Prissy" Fletcher (Caleb), Heather Wright (Mitch), Samuel M. Nelson (Janie), Craig Nelson (Stacey) and Gene M. Nelson (Amy); and his sister Linda Raines. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and one-great grandchild.
