Pamela Tompkins wrote a sympathy message

“It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell. 💔 I was introduced to JT when I was 15, by my boyfriend and eventually husband, Tom Tompkins. They played in sports together and were starters for their high school basketball team. They were best friends and groomsmen in one another’s wedding. JT remained a dear life long friend, even after the death of my Tom. He would often share how much he still missed Tom and loved him; meant so much to me. JT is gone but never forgotten! . ❤️ Pam Tompkins”

Ron Henderson wrote a sympathy message

“J. T. was a friend from high school. We saw each other occasionally when we were in college (he at FSU, I at UF). After college we served for six years together, in the Army Reserve. After he moved to South Florida, our meetings were fewer, but it was always a pleasure to be able to catch up with him. He was a good man and I will miss him. My prayers and condolences to his family. Ron Henderson”
